Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of two (2) Chevrolet Tahoes from Holiday Chevrolet in the amount of $61,502.00 pursuant to Tarrant County Cooperative contract #2019-014 and upfitting from Defender Supply in the amount of $33,746.00 pursuant to Tarrant County Cooperative contract #2019-181.

Background

Approval of this purchase will support the operations of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.  This purchase will take place of the original purchase for two (2) Dodge Chargers approved in court on 11/19/2019, Agenda Item #14.  A Purchase Order was originally entered for the Chargers but was subsequently canceled as the dealer is no longer building these.  Estimate is attached that shows vehicle specifications and upfitting for the Tahoes.  Fleet has approved these vehicles.  This expenditure will be charged to 01.0100.0560.005700.  Funding was approved in FY20 budget. Department contact is Chief Tim Ryle.
