Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the County Addendum to the Laboratory Reference Agreement between Williamson County and American Institute of Toxicology, Inc. which was originally approved by Commissioner's Court on 4/28/2020 to provide clinical laboratory services in relation to COVID-19 testing, exempting the purchase of these services from the competitive bidding requirements per Texas Local Government Code Section 262.024(a)(2) and authorizing execution of the addendum.

The American Institute of Toxicology, Inc. (AIT) is a laboratory located in Denton, Texas that provides laboratory testing services.  This addendum to the original agreement provides that the county will pay AIT a fee of $100.00 per specimen for Infectious Disease (“ID”) Testing for the COVID-19 pathogen as ordered by an authorized ordering provider. The original agreement was approved by Commissioners Court on 4/28/20, Item #11.  Funding source: CARES ACT Grant.
