Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on FY21 Transformative Justice Grant Resolution.
Background
Williamson County Juvenile Services is requesting approval of the Transformative Justice Grant Resolution provided through the Texas Indigent Defense Commission for FY21. Due to the county receiving an extension through May 2020 for the 1st year, this resolution will cover the final 8 months (October 2020-May 2021) for the 2nd year of the grant and the first 4 months (June 2021-September 2021) for the 3rd year of the grant. The grant does require a cash match of 40% for the 2nd year and 60% for the 3rd year. The total cash match for FY21 will be $175,425 and will be budgeted accordingly.
TIDC has requested that we complete the resolutions this way so they will align with their FY.
