Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of Grayshift software license for use by Williamson County Sheriff's Office during investigations in the amount of $15,075.
Background
This software license contract is for the purchase of Graykey software from Grayshift L.L.C. This is a new product for agencies to use during investigations and breaks iPhone encryption and passwords. The terms and conditions include non-negotiable indemnification by the county, although this is within industry practice for a software license. Three (3) quotes were obtained and Graykey was the recommended solution. IT has approved this purchase. This expenditure will be charged to 01.0100.0560.005741. Department contact is Chief Tim Ryle.
