Discuss, consider and take action regarding Expenses for Sheltering of Hurricane Laura evacuees.
Background
Williamson County is a part of the Capital Area Shelter Hub Plan. This asset was activated by the State of Texas for sheltering of evacuees from Hurricane Laura. Williamson County provided staff/support at COTA for check in of evacuees, hotels for sheltering and meals. These expenses are 100% reimbursable and a request will be submitted to the Texas Department of Emergency Management for reimbursement. The costs will be charged to the Disaster Expense Line in the Non-departmental budget.
