Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving Commercial Security Integration for jail camera software license and maintenance renewal in the amount of $19,100 and exempting this purchase from competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemptions Section 262.024(a)(7)(D) captive replacement parts or components for equipment.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Jail. Commercial Security Integration is the current vendor that the Jail uses for their camera software. The proposal attached outlines what is included in the software license maintenance agreement renewal. It includes telephone support, software patches, software version updates, security center software and Omnicast professional software. Software maintenance agreement term is from 10/1/2020 to 9/30/2021. IT has approved this purchase. Legal and Contract Audit have reviewed the agreement. This expenditure will be charged to FY21 funds 01.0100.0570.004500. Department contact is Commander Edward Williams.
