Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on grant extension request for Trauma Focused Equine-Therapy Program provided by Juvenile Services.

Juvenile Services was awarded $65,000 through the Office of the Governor-Criminal Justice Division for FY20 to operate a Trauma Focused Equine-Therapy grant program.  Due to Covid19, the department had a difficult time expending all the funds during the FY20 grant period.  The department discontinued the program for several months to ensure the safety of the youth, staff, and contractors.  The program is in operation again, but with individual and family groups rather than the larger residential groups we had originally anticipated.  This has resulted the department not expending the funds as quickly as planned.  The department did request a three-month extension, which was approved through December 2020.  However, we still have remaining funds and would like to request an additional three-month extension through March 2021.  The department has been in count with the Office of the Governor, and they have indicated they would be willing to approve the additional extension, once approved by the court.
