Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving a resolution authorizing a Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, grant application award in the amount of $241,370.00 for the Williamson County Veterans Treatment Court enhancements for Award Number 2020-VC-BX-0093.
Background
The Honorable Laura Barker has implemented program improvements that have resulted in greater efficiencies in the program and life-changing transformations in the lives of Veterans who participate. Grant funds will be utilized to improve the quality and intensity of program services and expand treatment capacity. Grant funding approval will allow the Williamson County Veterans Treatment Court to create a new track for Low Risk/High Needs participants that could previously not receive the appropriate treatment and monitoring.
