Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on authorizing the West Proflex Access Agreement, including Westlaw Edge feature, with Thomson Reuters, for Westlaw employee access for 17 Judges and Attorney users, and 17 non-attorney Staff Members of Williamson County, as per DIR Contract #DIR-LGL-CALIR-02, commencing January 1, 2021 for a monthly rate of $5,714.10.

The department point of contact is Melissa Goins, Executive Assistant to County Judge.  The current West Proflex Agreement expires at the end of December according to William LaVelle at Thomson Reuters.   The renewal is for a 36-month term with a 3% increase for each fiscal year remaining on the term.  Additionally, the expense is invoiced monthly in the amount of $5,714.10 and funded through Law Library (01.0350.0680.003030).  The renewal will take effect from January through September for the current fiscal year and October through September the following year until expiration.This renewal agreement is for West Proflex Access including the new Westlaw Edge feature for 17 Judge/Attorney users and 17 Non-Attorney Staff Members.
