Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order NO. 5 in the amount of $5,117.00 for Forest North Phase 3 (DeNucci Constructors), a Road Bond project in Commissioner Pct. 1.  P: 225  Funding Source: Road Bond

This Change Order adds two new items to pay the Contractor for wood fence gates. The plans call for removal of existing wood fence and installation of new wood fence but there are not pay items set up in the Contract for new wood fence gates. Items 701S-F (Pedestrian Gate) and 701S-G (Vehicular Gate) are added to pay for gate installation.

This Change Order also adds an item to cover the cost to relocate a copper water line on the private side of the water line service at 13013 Stillforest Street. This water line service is required to be moved due to a conflict with the installation of a storm sewer structure in Channel NC2-1. The original line was a copper line and the homeowner requested the relocated line to be the same material. The new pay item compensates the Contractor for the difference in price between the installation of a copper line and a PVC line.

This Change Order also corrects a unit price error in the Contract for 999-WC02. This adds only 2 dollars to the Contract. The County is paying the cost of this Change Order.
