Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on exempting this extension from the competitive bidding requirements, per Texas Local Government Code Section 262.024.(a)(2) (an item necessary to preserve or protect the public health or safety of the residents of the county), and obtain approval of the contract extension for Jail Food Services (RFP 1605-081) between Williamson County, Texas and Aramark Correctional Services, LLC for 90 days until October 31, 2021, in order to allow the new Sheriff Office administration to complete the RFP process in this category of services to support county jail operations.

This is an extension until October 31, 2021, to allow the county to finalize a new solicitation for Jail Food Services.  This Amendment is to allow additional time for RFP Solicitation processes for the new Sheriff’s administration.  The department points of contact are Lt.
