Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on rejecting bids submitted on IFB T3406 New and Latest Model 36’ Gooseneck Trailer for the HazMat department and authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive sealed bids under the new IFB T4251.
Background
Williamson County solicited bids for a New and Latest Model 36’ Gooseneck Trailer which will be utilized by the HazMat Response department. The bid received was withdrawn by the vendor, Midway Trailers, Inc, due to price increase and extended lead time. This is a replacement project through the HS-Homeland Security Grant from the Office of the Governor, previously approved by the commissioners’ court. Point of Contact is Michael Wofford and the funding Source is HS- Homeland Security Grant.
