Agenda Item
Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on an agreement between Williamson County and Veritas Well-Being, PLLC for a not-to-exceed amount of $30,000 for treatment services for the Williamson County Veterans Treatment Court.
Background
Veritas Well-Being provides individual, group and family counseling for participants of the Williamson County Veterans Treatment Court and immediate dependents. Funding for the Master's Level Clinician comes from a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission. Veterans and their immediate families are able to receive prompt access to behavioral health treatment at no cost. These services include mental health assessments; individual, family and group counseling; creation of individualized care plans; therapeutic groups and training, and guidance to the project team on how to best serve the VTC participants. The evidence-based, best practice mental health services provided help veterans on their road to recovery and to become more productive members of the community by maintaining employment, becoming financially independent, and obtaining stable housing.
