Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on authorizing the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive sealed qualifications for As-needed Design and/or Engineering Services for Minor County Building Projects under RFQ #21RFSQ2.

With the goal of establishing a pre-qualified pool, Williamson County is seeking qualifications from experienced firms to provide professional Architectural or Engineering (“A/E”) services to support the County Architect and the Facilities Department for various small projects. Most, if not all, projects will be renovations of existing facilities. At a minimum, the technical areas of professional services required may include, but are not limited to:

• Architectural
• Civil engineering
• Structural engineering
• MEP engineering

The goal of establishing a pre-qualified engineering pool is to provide the county with the readied resources to assist in meeting workload demands in an organized and expeditious manner. The purpose of issuing the RFQ to establish the pool, is to provide respondents a fair and open response platform. Professional Service Agreements (PSA) will be contracted on an as-needed basis and will be presented to court for approval at that time.

The established pool will be valid for five (5) years with yearly review for possible addition or removal of firms. Budgeted amounts will vary and various line items and project numbers will be presented for court approval. Trenton Jacobs is the point of contact.
