Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on determining the scope of work for the Williamson County Strategic Plan Consulting Services project.

Background

This workshop session is held at the request of the Court to discuss the direction and scope of the countywide strategic planning project.  The Purchasing Department has drafted a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Draft document to solicit for consulting services.

Staff seeks direction on the following items:
  • Does the Court seek to move this project forward?
  • Can the RFQ scope of work release as written or are edits needed?
  • Who will participate on the RFQ scoring and interview committee and what is the Court’s vision for these interviews?
The current cost for this service is now estimated at $100,000 +/-.  This estimated reduction is a result of now having line of sight to that planning work that is up to date and has already been done.

Lastly, the Court may want to consider a staff liaison to coordinate with the chosen consultant to move the project forward.
