Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the agreement renewal between Williamson County and Mobile Wireless LLC, in the amount of $64,950.48, to provide NetMotion VPN platform functionality, per the terms of DIR Contract #DIR-CPO-4723, and authorizing execution of the agreement.
Background
Approval of this agreement provides NetMotion functionality to Williamson County's first responders. The platform gives full network access through a Virtual Private Network (VPN). VPN is the system used to provide secure access from a remote location. This is achieved using encryption over a public internet network. This platform allows staff to "work remotely" through the internet. Legal and Contract Audit have reviewed this agreement. IT has approved this agreement. Department point of contact is Paul Hulse. Funding Source 01.0100.0503.004505.
