Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of ESO Solutions, Inc. Firehouse Maintenance and Support in the amount of $6,591.09 and exempting ESO Solutions, Inc. from competitive bidding requirements per Texas Local Government Code Section 262.024(a)(7)(D) discretionary exemption for captive replacement parts or components for equipment.
Background
Approval of this item will support our partner firehouses around Williamson County. The original agreement was approved by Commissioner's Court on 5/11/2010 and supports computer automated dispatch (CAD) project participants from that time period. Renewal agreement is for on year. The Purchasing Agent's recommends this renewal be exempted from the competitive bidding requirements as ESO Solutions is a captive provider of the annual maintenance for Firehouse software. Legal also suggested that the county continue to operate off of the original agreement as terms are favorable for the county. This expenditure will be charged to FY22 01.0100.0503.004505.
