Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the agreement between Lexipol, LLC and Williamson County for annual online subscription services in the amount of $21,000.00 and exempting this purchase from the competitive bidding requirement per Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemptions §262.024 (a)(7)(A) items for which competition is precluded because of the existence of patents, copyrights, secret processes or monopolies, and authorizing the execution of the agreement.

Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office.  The Sheriff's Office first starting using the Police One training platform after it was approved by Commissioner's Court on 03/09/2021. The subscription agreement attached outlines the subscription services for 500 users to include both law enforcement and the jail for a period of twelve (12) months.  Lexipol's subscription for an online training platform that addresses training requirements and training processes.  IT has reviewed and approved this purchased.  Legal and contract audit have reviewed the agreement.   This expenditure will be split evenly among lines 01.0100.2009.004232 and 01.0100.0570.004232.  Department contact is James Carmona.
