Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving amendment No 1 to contract for Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) for Expo Center Various Improvements Project between Chasco Constructors Ltd, LLC reducing the original CMAR’s Fee from $509,850.00 to $305,496.00, and authorizing execution of the agreement. P562

Background

Due to negotiations following execution of the contract, Chasco Constructors, Ltd, LLC and Williamson County were able to reduce the original CMAR’s Fee from $509,850.00 to $305,496.00, and it has become necessary to amend Subsection 5.1.1 of the contract which was approved by the commissioners’ court on 06.08.2021, item 44. The Construction Manager at Risk fee shall be a fixed sum of $305,496.00 which is comprised of a CMAR’s Fee of $86,491.00 for Package1 improvements and a CMAR’s Fee for $219,005.00 for bid package 2 improvements.
