Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the agreement between Williamson County and Pearson Dental for the purchase of one (1) Kavo Nomad Pro 2 Handheld X-Ray Device for a total of $6,195.00, exempting the procurement pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemption 262.024(a)(2) - an item necessary to preserve the health and safety of the residents of Williamson County, and authorizing the execution of the agreement.

The approval of this agreement will benefit the Williamson County Corrections Department when dental X-rays are needed within the jail.  This device promotes time saving and safety as the technician can go to the patient and stays with the patient during the procedure to ensure no movement occurs from either the patient or the technician.  Two highly devised shielding features protect the operator from direct and scatter radiation. Legal, Contract Audit and Budget have reviewed this agreement.  The cost of this device is $6,195.00.  The funding expenditure is through the ARPA Act 445P Jail Medical Equipment / 445A / task 6.1.
