Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the issuance of a county-wide burn ban for a period not to exceed 90 days and to authorize the County Judge the authority to lift the order banning outdoor burning if conditions improve.
Background
The current conditions in Williamson County are: Average KBDI value of 531 (Scale of 1-800) with a +10 - +12 rate of change daily. With the continued trend the county average KBDI will be over 600 by Tuesday, June 21. In addition to the severe drought conditions, above average heat, low humidity, low fuel moistures and high winds are creating dangerous wildfire conditions that would be exacerbated by outdoor burning.
