Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the Annual Public Safety Maintenance agreement between Williamson County and Central Square, previously exempted in Commissioner's Court on 5/5/2020 valid for 36 months from the competitive bidding requirements established by Section 262.024 (a) (7) of the Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemptions, as the sole provider for supervision services for Williamson County, for $543,156.64, and authorizing the execution of this annual agreement.
Background
The exemption designated Central Square as Sole Source Provider for Public Safety software to include CAD (computer aided dispatch), RMS (records management system), OneSolution, TriTech, CryWolf, Superion and Tellus brand software, including Licensing, Maintenance, Support, modification and training. The County currently owns and utilizes multiple products in the Central Square line and this exemption allowed continuance of that use as well as future modifications and improvements. The original sole source posting was in Negometrix for 14 days with no competitive responses received. The requested Sole Source designation is applicable for a period of thirty-six (36) months. IT, Legal, Budget and Audit have reviewed the agreement. No signature is required. Funding Source: 01.0100.0523.004505 FY2023. Point of contact is Janessa Stephens.
