Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #22IFB137, EMS Medical Supplies, split on a per item basis, to eight (8) responsive bidders: Bound Tree Medical, LLC; Henry Schein, Inc; Life-Assist, Inc; Medline Industries, Inc; QuadMed, Inc; Southern Safety Sales; Stryker; and Texas Medical Technology, LLC.

Background

Award of this solicitation will support the operations of Williamson County Emergency Medical Services. Invitations were sent to 2,177 vendors, 139 vendors viewed the bid with 14 submitting responses. Upon evaluation, the following were the lowest and best bidders:
  • Bound Tree Medical, LLC
  • Henry Schein, Inc
  • Life-Assist, Inc
  • Medline Industries, Inc
  • QuadMed, Inc
  • Southern Safety Sales
  • Stryker; and
  • Texas Medical Technology, LLC
The list of award recommendation bid items and the tabulation list for the vendors above are attached. The end user reviewed and approved the attached items. The contract term is twelve (12) months, starting 10/01/2022 and ending 09/30/2023. Expenditures for these items will be charged between 01.0100.0540.003307, 01.0100.054.003107, and 01.0100.0540.003200. Funding was approved for the FY23 budget. Legal, Contract Audit, and Budget have approved. The Department point of contact is Kirk Becker.
