Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of OpenRoads Designer Select Subscription #202338, from Bentley Systems, in the amount of $15,802.56, and exempting this purchase from the competitive bidding requirement under Texas Local Government Code 262.024(a)(7)(A) (Items for which competition is precluded because of the existence of patents, copyrights, secret processes and monopolies).
Background
The Open Roads Designer platform introduces a new 3D parametric modeling design environment providing capabilities for surveying, drainage, subsurface utilities, roadway design and site design. TxDOT has created the design templates and standards to be used for ORD software program, which Road and Bridge has adopted. Funding source: 01.0200.0210.004505. The point of contact is Kon Kwan.
