Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the purchase of two (2) Model Year 2023 Ford F-250 Regular Cab Trucks from Silsbee Ford in the amount of $85,832.50, pursuant to TIPS Cooperative Contract #210907.
Background
Approval of this purchase will support the Williamson County Road and Bridge Department. Fleet Services and the Budget office have both reviewed this item.
Originally three (3) vehicles were ordered from Silsbee Ford in Fiscal Year 2021-2022 for Model Year 2022 trucks. Silsbee Ford cannot fulfill that order due to lack of inventory. That Purchase Order has been canceled. Silsbee Ford can provide Model Year 2023 trucks as specified but at a higher price. Department is requesting this order of two (2) Model Year 2023 trucks for the fleet instead of the original three. Funding was moved from FY22 to FY23 by the Budget Office to make this change. This purchase is to provide new trucks for new positions. Funding Source 01.0200.0210.05700. The point of Contact is Kelly Murphy.
