Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $27,926.96 for Project T4327 Great Oaks Drive Improvements (DeNucci Constructors) P: 270 Funding Source: Road Bond.

This Change Order adds 10 new items to the contract (see attached Change Order for details). 1. Item 544-6001 GUARDRAIL END TREATMENT (INSTALL) is added to cover an item shown in the plans but not included in the original bid tab. 2. Item 628-6004 ELC SRV TY A replaces 1EA of Item 628-6165 ELC SRV TY D to better fit the requirements of Illumination called for in the plans. 3. Item 686-6047 INS TRF SIG PL (44’) replaces Item 686-6047 INS TRF SIG PL (44’) to change the height of the pole from 30’ to 36’. 4. Items for Removable Work Zone Pavement Markings are also added for use on the bridge structure during phased construction instead of non-removable markings. 5. Item 999-WC06 Junction Boxes is added to pay for junction boxes in the traffic rail, in lieu of TY D ground boxes shown to be in the bridge deck.   

This Change Order results in a net increase of $27,926.96 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $10,738,283.19. The original Contract amount was $10,580,634.11. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $157,649.08 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 1.5% net increase in the overall Contract cost. No time will be added to the Contract for this Change Order.
