Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on ratifying agreement #2023153 between Williamson County and Randal's Tower Tech, Inc. for emergency tower climbing services in the amount of $18,645.00 and exempting this purchase from the competitive bid/proposal requirements pursuant to the discretionary exemption as set forth under Texas Local Government Code § 262.024 (2) [an item necessary to preserve and protect the public health or safety or the residents of the county] and § 262.024 (3) [an item necessary because of unforeseen damage to public property], and authorizing execution of the agreement.

Approval of this item will support the Williamson County Wireless Communications.  Emergency tower climbing services are needed to assess damage of countywide communication towers from the recent winter storm Mara.  The service agreement and estimate are attached outlining the locations for services to be performed.  IT, legal, and budget have reviewed this purchase.  This expenditure will be charged to Radio Communication System Repairs Equipment 01.0507.0507.004543 as per FY23 budget.  Department contact is Rick Akins.
