Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 9 in the amount of $14,282.00 for Project 22IFB39 CR 111 Westinghouse Rd (Capital Excavation) P: 292 Funding Source: Road Bond.

Background

This Change Order compensates the Contractor for additional work related to the Jonah water line. The plans called for relocating a resident’s meter outside the ROW in order to construct the proposed roadway but did not address their existing service line. The existing service line had to be relocated outside the ROW as well to maintain water to the residence. Per Jonah’s ILA, this portion of the water line is to be constructed with the CR 111 project at the County’s expense.  See attached Change Order for additional details.

This Change Order results in an increase of $14,282.00 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $22,124,041.18. The original Contract amount was $21,024,332.88. As a result of this and previous Change Orders, $1,099,708.30 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 5.23% increase in the Contract cost. As a result of this Change Order, (0) days will be added to the Contract.
