Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a position conversion for Position Control Number (PCN) 2018 within the Commissioners Court Dept. budget.

This would be an exception to policy, as it is outside the identified timeline for approval. Policies identified in the Employee Policy Manual would still apply for any compensation offered. This conversion would be utilized to increase the candidate pool for a critical position. The office has had the position posted since mid-February and has a very small applicant pool. The posting was also published in a paid advertisement through the State Bar.  While an experienced attorney would be preferred, the office has recognized the need for flexibility during a tough hiring market and is willing to train and invest the time for the right candidate.
