Background
Williamson County sent out over 7,100 invitations to the solicitation and received four (4) submissions from contractors to provide materials, experienced milling, sealing, overlay, and striping crew and equipment to resurface O'Connor Dr from RM 620 to SH 45. Texas Materials was found to be responsive, mathematically correct, and materially balanced. The contractors low base bid is $39,700.84 above the engineer’s estimate, a cost increase of 2.63%. Based on the low bid of $1,546,417.84 and previous work experience, the Deputy Director of Infrastructure recommends awarding to Texas Materials for this project. The funding source is 01.0200.0210.003599 and the point of contact is Terron Evertson.
