Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on authorizing the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive competitive sealed proposals for Portland Cement under IFB #24IFB001.
Background
Williamson County is seeking to purchase Type I/II and Type IL Portland Cement, from qualified companies and conforming to Texas Department of Transportation Departmental Materials Specifications DMS-4600 “Hydraulic Cement”, Effective date: June 2023 (Formerly DMS-4600 the Hydraulic Cement Quality Monitoring Program, or HCQMP). This project was previously advertised under IFB #23IFB28 and IFB #23IFB47 with over one thousand one hundred fifty (1,150) invites sent to vendors but no bids received, and they should formally be closed. Funding source is 01.0200.0210.003597 and 01.0200.0210.003551. Department point of contact is Kelly Murphy.
