Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the agreement between Williamson County and Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc. for surplus item auctioneer services pursuant to BuyBoard contract #708-32, and authorizing the execution of this agreement.
Background
This services agreement supports the Purchasing Department, Fleet Department and Sheriff’s Office with auctioneer services for surplus items. This is a revenue contract with proceeds being mailed to the County Auditor. The agreement is not exclusive. Services are provided on a commission basis with 6% of the total sale being charged to Williamson County. The agreement is valid for three-years, with two one-year renewals available.
