Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving service agreement #2024246 for a total monthly charge of $1,246.99 between Williamson County and Optimum Business for internet service upgrades from 500mb to 1G and add on security packages to 1821 SE Inner Loop account, authorizing the execution of the agreement and exempting the purchase from competitive bidding utilizing Tx. Gov Code 262.024 Discretionary Exemptions (a) (7) (c) electric power, gas, water, and other utility services.

The approval of the agreement will benefit Williamson County IT Department.  The county has a current agreement with Optimum at this location. The agreement is for an upgrade from 500mb to 1G plus Business Premier Technology Support security packages. This current promotion will give 1 gig (double the speed) with a protection package at a lower monthly cost. The county is paying double that for 500mb. Service agreement #2024246 for 1821 SE Inner Loop, total monthly charge will be $1,276.99, funding source 01.0100.0503.004210. Department point of contact is Chris Ball. The service agreement is attached. The vendor is pubically traded, a 1295 form is not needed.
