Background
September is National Preparedness Month, an annual observation to remind all Americans how important it is for individuals, families and communities to be prepared for disasters and emergencies that can happen at any time. The Capital Area Council of Governments Executive Committee, serving Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano, Travis, and Williamson counties adopted a resolution recognizing September as National Preparedness Month.
