Discuss, consider and take action to approve the Sheriff Office Federal Forfeiture Budget for November 2024 through December 2024.
Background
Federal Forfeiture funds must be spent in compliance with the Equitable Sharing Guidance provided by the Federal Government. This guidance states that local policies should be followed. The County has an adopted Budget policy in conjunction with the "Lame Duck Statute" that limits spend to 25% until the office holder leaves office.
Attached is a budget for Federal Justice and Treasury funds that is in compliance with this policy. The request is less than 25%.
