Agenda Item
Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to approve an addendum to the original contract #22RFP80, as approved by the Commissioner’s Court on 05.31.2022, under item #33, for towing plus impound for the Sheriff's Office with CFKAA Holdings, LLC "Autura" and authorizing the execution of the addendum.
Background
This Addendum to Contract #22RFP80 is for Towing and Impound Services. Wilco, by the First Addendum to the Agreement has elected to exercise its right to renew the agreement for the first of two additional one-year terms. The first additional one term will begin on June 1, 2025. Wilco is also electing to extend the Agreement through this Addendum for the three (3) additional one-year right to renew terms, effective upon a written addendum executed each renewal period. The County does not pay any fees for these services and the county does not receive any revenue from these services. Tow providers dispatched by the contractor complete a tow on behalf of Wilco and the customer (registered vehicle owner) pays the administrative fee and the towing fee.
Note: A consent to assign from AutoReturn US LLC to CFKAA Holdins LLC dba Autura was approved by the Commissioners Court on 1/9/24.
These services will continue until the expiration date of the original contract, which will expire on May 31, 2027. The points of contact are Starla Hall and Virginia Johnson. There is no funding source needed, as there will be no cost to the Sheriff's Office.
