Discuss, consider and take appropriate action to recognize Bob Daigh as the recipient of the Ray LaHood Award by the Heart of Texas Chapter of the WTS for contributions to the advancement of opportunities for women in the transportation fields.

The WTS Foundation was founded in 2009 to advance opportunities for women in the transportation fields. It helps support the next generation of transportation leaders and, through the generous support of the WTS members and supporters, it has provided millions of dollars in scholarships to deserving students throughout the transportation industry. The Honorable Ray LaHood Award is presented by the WTS to a man who leads by example and seeks out opportunities to advance and advocate for women in the transportation industry. The “man of the year” honor is an award for a man who is key to advancing the WTS mission to attract, retain, and advance women in transportation. The honoree is one who contributes towards the advancement of women in the transportation field and who has made an outstanding contribution to the transportation industry. The Ray LaHood Award was presented on Saturday, April 26, 2025, by the WTS Heart of Texas Chapter to Bob Daigh.
