Discuss, consider and take appropriate action approving the engagement of the law firm of Sheets, Childs & Sandre, PLLC to represent Williamson County in relation to various aspects of real estate and eminent domain/condemnation law; counsel, advice, review and preparation of documents for matters related to County Road Bond, Road & Bridge Department, Department of Infrastructure, County Parks, and/or Long Range Transportation Plan programs and projects; economic development issues and consultation; and other necessary general matters as assigned by the County Judge, County Commissioners, Department Directors or Commissioners Court General Counsel’s Office and accepted by the firm; and exemption of these services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services, as set forth under Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code § 262.024(a)(4).
