Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a line-item transfer for Justice of the Peace 4.
Public Background
JP4 will offer a summer internship to a student Teen Court Volunteer who has successfully graduated through the program. JP4 plans to continue to offer this internship each summer providing community opportunity for work experience to help move students forward in their career progression. This temporary labor/seasonal help position will pay $12 an hour at 20 hours a week for 12 weeks. A different project will be offered each summer/internship. Currently this position will be utilized to verify the accuracy and completeness of scanned documents and help to alleviate a backlog due to increased civil filings. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a law or similar degree to learn civil process in addition to the criminal law experienced through Teen Court.
