Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on a line item transfer for the Elections Office.

While the fiscal year 2017 budget process was underway, the Elections Office, Purchasing, Human Resources, and the Auditor's Office were working on a request for proposal for hiring an agency to hire and process pay for election poll workers.  Funds that would have been allocated for the payment of election judges and clerks and a percent mark-up to pay the agency were budgeted in Professional Services.  A vendor for hiring and paying poll workers was not selected.  Request is made to move funds from Professional Services to Election Judges and Clerks.  Wages being paid to the poll workers for the 2016 November elections are costing to Election Judges and Clerks.
