Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on exempting Deccan International from the competitive bidding or proposal requirements established by Section 262.024 (a) (7) of the Texas Local Government Codes, as the sole source provider of the Live MUM 2.0 software upgrade, maintenance and additional licenses.
Background
An RFI # SOS-1703 was completed to determine if a reasonable alternative source was available, and no responses were obtained. As indicated under Section 262.024 (a) (7) of the Texas Local Government Code, Deccan International is the only source that can provide this product, and any maintenance for this product; therefore, Deccan qualifies for a sole source exemption for this purchase. The sole source certification will be valid for 36 months after Commissioners Court approval.
