Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the Change Order on the Hazard Fuels Reduction Program Contract 1605-085, with Quality Tree and Lawn.

Background

This was requested by Gregory Williams, Deputy Director of Office of Emergency Management; This Change Order was created because the fuels reduction project currently underway at the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park is anticipated to exceed the 4 mile (21,120 feet) threshold originally identified in the bid. In order to complete the intent outlined in the bid and grant documents, additional work beyond the 4 mile mark must be completed. At this time, it appears that up to 5,280 additional feet will need to be cleared. This will not affect the project schedule. The additional feet cleared will be charged at the rate of $9.16193182 per foot (this equates from the original amount requested, 21,120 feet, divided into the original quote submitted of $193,500.00 for the project). The Contractor will not exceed the additional 5,280 feet (25% of the original cost of the bid). Original Bid documents are attached for reference, because this was awarded in BidSync, so a contract was not created.
