Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the acceptance of a grant provided through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for the Williamson County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), administered by the Office of Emergency Management, in the amount of $84,388.23. The grant funds a 12 month position to analyze and plan for chemical emergencies and software to analyze threats and risk.

Williamson County Office of Emergency Management has been awarded $84,388.23 in TCEQ/LEPC funding. This will help Williamson County meet federal mandates for hazardous materials facilities and LEPC planning requirements.
