Discuss, consider and take appropriate action regarding Taser 60 Lease Agreement for Constable Precinct 4 and authorize County Judge to sign all related documentation.  

We have been provided by Taser (Axon) the ability to replace all of our Tasers and Lease new ones over 60 months. This agreement provides the Tasers Batteries, Cartridges, Holsters, and includes warranties for the period, etc. They will replace used cartridges, batteries and service the Tasers at no cost as needed over the 60 month period. They are allowing us a trade in (in this case destroy current inventory). The newest Tasers we have are 4-5 years old (some much older) and are at the end of useful life now. This includes many that are not functioning at all. To purchase or buy replacements would cost over $2000/unit for Taser, holster and all accoutrements. This results in a cost savings of several hundred dollars, and spreads the cost out over 5 years. I have attached the contract for review. Ashlie Koenig was in support of the program, and we have budgeted accordingly. This contract price was passed in the new budget to fund this program.
