Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on applying for 2018-2019 Texas Veterans Commission, Fund for Veterans' Assistance grant.
Background
This is a continuation of the Texas Veterans Commission grant that was received on July 1, 2017. The awarded grant is providing veterans participating in the Williamson County Veterans Treatment Court, under Judge Laura Barker, the opportunity to participate in drum circles, guitar lessons and life planning courses. Although, only one quarter has been completed during the current grant, the deadline for the application for the renewal is due by November 2, 2017. The Commissioners Court approved the service providers' agreements during the 1st quarter, supplies have been purchased and the programs are ready to begin commencement during this month. There is no match for this grant.
