Discuss, consider and take any appropriate action regarding approval of formal License & Use Agreement to allow the Georgetown Palace Theatre access and use of public parking at the Williamson County Criminal Justice Facility Parking Garage as deemed in the public interest of county residents.

The Palace Theatre previously had a “proclamation” for use of the county’s public parking; however, the city permitting process requires a formal “agreement” (for them to construct a new facility). The only agreement the county can give them (without bidding) is a fully revocable “license agreement” (assuming there is a finding it is all in the “public interest”). Of course, Williamson County reserves a superior right to use the parking whenever it is deemed necessary for governmental operations.
