Background
Judge Laura Barker oversees two specialty court dockets in County Court at Law 2. In addition to her traditional criminal docket and assisting with mental health court hearings, Judge Barker also leads the DWI/Drug Court and Veterans Treatment Court project teams. Both courts are highly successful and are achieving positive results for the participants, while protecting public safety and decreasing recidivism.
