Discuss, consider and take appropriate action approving a salary grievance committee for purposes of selecting adequate number of additional alternates.

Per Local Government Code 152.014, a salary grievance committee is composed of nine public members.   These members shall be selected during a meeting of the Commissioners Court.   This committee will serve, if needed during this fiscal year 2018 with regard to elected officials salaries.  A full panel required per Local Gov't Code 154.015 (c) and (d), state "vacancies" shall be filled.   Currently, the salary grievance committee received 3 responses to serve and will need an additional 6 public members should a salary grievance hearing be requested.  The Elected Officials have until Monday, August 13th to request a salary grievance committee hearing.
