Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB # 1806-242 Flex Base to the lowest responsive bidder Industrial Asphalt and Aggregate as the primary vendor, and Vulcan Construction Material as the secondary vendor.
Background
Purchasing solicited sealed bids for flex base. Thirty-three (33) vendors viewed the IFB and two (2) vendors responded. After reviewing the bids received, Road & Bridge has determined that Industrial Asphalt and Aggregate submitted the overall lowest and best offer and is recommending them for award as the primary vendor and Vulcan Construction Materials as the secondary vendor for all bid items. The contract term will be from September 12, 2018 to September 11, 2019 with two (2) annual renewals. The department point of contact is Terron Evertson. This expenditure will be charged to 01.0200.0210.003551. Funding was approved in the FY2018 budget.
