Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on accepting and approving a report on the Regional Animal Shelter Expansion Project; Change Order # 6 in the amount of $20,624.00 to approve funding for additional electrical, A/C, masonry and concrete scopes of work, which was executed by Dale Butler, Williamson County Facilities Director, pursuant to the previous grant of authority under Section 262.031 of the Local Government Code. This change order is being funded by the Construction Manager and Owner’s Contingencies.

Change Order to fund additional concrete for relocated light pole bases, additional masonry due to increased CMU wall thickness, additional electrical for added fixtures and relocated light poles and additional HVAC due to the necessity to relocate the walk-in freezer condenser unit. All additional scope was necessary based on RFI’s and Engineers comments to complete the project per the original design intent.
On August 15, 2017, the Williamson County Commissioners Court granted Dale Butler, Williamson County Facilities Director, with general authority to approve change orders for the Agreement for Construction Services with Vaughn Construction in relation to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter Expansion Project for any increase in costs up to a total maximum amount of $30,000.00 in accordance with Section 262.031 of the Local Government Code – Changes in Plans and Specifications. This report is being provided for purposes of notifying the court of such change order and to place it in the minutes of the Commissioners Court.
